Biography
Dr. Fernando Hernandez Martinez is an economist specializing in macroeconomics, monetary policy, and energy economics. He worked for six years as a Risk and Finance Specialist at Naturgy and spent eight years at the Banco de Espana as a Monetary Policy Specialist. He holds a PhD in Economics from UNED, a Master of Arts in Economics from Boston University, and a Master of Science in Finance from ICADE-Universidad Pontificia Comillas. For more than 10 years, he has taught as an adjunct professor at Carlos III University of Madrid and as an associate professor at CEU San Pablo, and has authored numerous publications on oil price shocks and energy market liberalization.
