Biography
Gerard Masllorens is an economist and data scientist specializing in international trade, global value chains, and macroeconomic policy. He has conducted research at prestigious institutions including Bruegel and the Ifo Institute, focusing on investment treaties and global value chains, with additional experience in banking research. He holds a PhD from ETH Zurich, a Master’s in Economics from the Barcelona School of Economics, a Master’s in Data Science from the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya, and undergraduate degrees in Economics and Business from UPF and Law from UOC. A multilingual academic, he combines analytical rigor with policy relevance across his research and teaching.
