Biography

Manuel Blazquez Merino is an Industrial Engineer, PhD, and educator specializing in technology, ICT, supply chain management, and information systems. He has been a professor of Technologies and ICT at the Instituto Ramiro de Maeztu in Madrid since 1996 and serves as a research collaborator at the Spanish University of Distance Education (UNED). He also teaches at UIBS and Antonio de Nebrija University. Prior to academia, he worked at leading engineering firms including Indra, Ena-Telecommunications, and Remica. He is the author of twenty-six textbooks on technology and has published over thirty articles in engineering journals, receiving the IEEE Education Society Best Final Degree Project award in 2009 and a Teaching Excellence mention from Antonio de Nebrija University in 2016.

The multiple starting dates in our quarter and term-based academic calendar allow students to start their education in the fall, winter, spring or summer of each academic year. Students can join our rolling cohorts up to 8 times per year.

Dedicated since 2002 to cross-cultural education with a global perspective, United International Business School (UIBS) is the main constituent school of United Institute, an established multi-campus, multi-disciplinary, student-centered and institutionally-accredited collegiate private higher education institution rooted in applied sciences and the regional economy.
