Biography

Prof. Ernani Contipelli is a scholar of comparative politics, public law, and international development. He currently teaches International Development and Theory of the State at the International Business School of The Hague (IBSH) and serves as a Guest Researcher at the Institute for Environmental Studies (IVM), Vrije University of Amsterdam. His extensive academic career includes professorships at universities in Brazil, Chile, Spain, and South Korea, as well as visiting research positions at the Max Planck Institute, the Sorbonne, and Universitat Pompeu Fabra. Prof. Contipelli holds a PhD in Public Law from Pontificia Universidade Catolica de Sao Paulo, post-doctoral degrees from Universitat Pompeu Fabra and Universidad Complutense Madrid, and is the author of seven books and numerous publications on federalism, governance, and climate change.
